How to Register a Yealink W73P Handset to the Base Station
If you buy the W73P as a bundle, the handset arrives already registered to its base station. If you're adding an extra handset or need to re-register one, here's how.
Applies to: Yealink W73P
5 steps to get it done
Put the base station into registration mode
On the W70B base station, press and hold the registration/paging button for about 3 seconds until the registration LED starts flashing.
Open the registration menu on the handset
Press OK on the handset to open the main menu, then go to Settings > Registration > Register Handset.
Select the base station
The handset will show a list of available base stations (Base 1–4). Highlight the correct one and press OK.
Enter the system PIN
Enter the base station's system PIN — the default is 0000 unless it's been changed — then press Done.
Confirm registration
The handset will play a tone and display "Handset Subscribed" once registration is successful.
Tips:
- One W70B base station can support up to 10 handsets, so you can add more W73H handsets to the same base as your team grows.
- Keep handsets within range of the base station — walk-testing your site during setup is worth doing if you have a large or multi-level office.
