5 steps to get it done
Rack-mount and connect
Mount the UDM Pro (it's a 1U rack-mount unit), connect your internet (WAN) cable to the internet port, and power it on.
Open the setup wizard
From a computer on the same network, open Chrome and go to https://setup.ui.com — this launches the on-screen Setup Wizard.
Sign in or create an account
Sign in with an existing UI.com account or create a new one — this is used for authentication and managing your UniFi devices.
Name your network and set WiFi credentials
Follow the wizard to name your network and, if you're also deploying UniFi access points, set your WiFi network name and password.
Access the Network app
Once setup completes, you can manage the UDM Pro through the UniFi Network mobile app (iOS/Android) or a web browser.
Tips:
- Chrome is the recommended browser for setup — others may have limited functionality in the UniFi console.
- The UDM Pro has 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports plus SFP+ — plan your switch and access point cabling before mounting it.
