WoodWorkers: three Queensland sites, one phone system
WoodWorkers had an older on-premise NEC SV8100 PBX on Telstra services. They moved to WiseCloud and now run their Brisbane office, Sunshine Coast site and Gold Coast site on one cloud phone system, with calls able to overflow between the sites.
At a glance: Customer: WoodWorkers. Sites: Brisbane office, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Before: an on-premise NEC SV8100 PBX on Telstra services. After: one WiseCloud cloud phone system across all three sites, with call overflow between them. WiseCloud also looks after the business internet at each site.
The starting point
WoodWorkers was running an older on-premise NEC SV8100 PBX on Telstra services. They wanted to replace the old system with one that could serve all three of their sites.
The decision: one system for all three sites
Instead of replacing each site's phones separately, WoodWorkers chose to bring the Brisbane office, the Sunshine Coast site and the Gold Coast site onto a single WiseCloud cloud phone system, built on 3CX.
What changed
- One phone system across three sites. Staff in Brisbane, on the Sunshine Coast and on the Gold Coast all sit on the same system, each with their own extension.
- Calls overflow between sites. If a call isn't answered at one site, it can ring through to staff at another site.
- No PBX box to maintain. The old on-premise PBX is gone; the system runs in the cloud.
- Phones and internet from one provider. WiseCloud looks after both the phone lines and the business internet at the WoodWorkers sites.
